It comes with mark-out and tack-down steps so you can use green fabric for the base layer. Alternatively , you can stitch directly onto green apparel. Either way, substituting fabric for the background layer dramatically reduces the overall stitch count. This saves you loads of machine time. Reducing the stitch count also reduces the fabric stress. And this produces a cleaner, flatter, stitch-out with less thread breaks. Simple applique instructions are included in the download pack.
